Primary Teacher

Examining the learning process and the factors that influence it will help you understand learning, which is at the heart of teaching. You will explore the significance of literacy and numeracy in primary education, as well as major areas of the primary curriculum such as English and literacies, mathematics, arts, humanities, science, technology, and health and physical education.

Secondary Teacher

You’ll actively develop secondary teaching and learning strategies that cover a wide range of students’ cognitive, social, and emotional needs, as well as a repertoire of methods for managing their learning in the classroom. You’ll learn how to build and maintain relationships with families and communities, as well as how to form long-term relationships across networks. You will study specialized courses to get the knowledge required to become a teacher in two subject areas (or one double teaching area), such as English, Math, Science, History, Social Education, Language, Arts, Business, Health, and Physical Education.

Master of Teaching (Primary)


– A minimum GPA of 4 on a 7-point scale is required for an undergraduate degree in any discipline.

– In order to meet the curriculum requirements of the NSW education standards authority (NESA), applicants must have completed at least eight units (equivalent to one year) of study in at least one area relevant to primary teaching. If these requirements are not met, applicants may be offered concurrent enrollment in up to four undergraduate units to study.

– IELTS- overall score of 7.5 and:

• a score of at least 7.0 for Reading and Writing; and

• a score of at least 8.0 for Speaking and Listening.

– At least four years of full-time (or comparable part-time) higher education (university) study is required. As a result, you’ll have qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Australia or higher.

– Bachelor degree

– IELTS Overall Score of 6.5, With a Section Minimum in all areas of 6.5.
